Making An Impact
Presently, WCCDC administers several pivotal programs including the DHS Homeless Prevention Program (HPP), Permanent Supportive Housing Program (PSH), and Rapid Rehousing Program. Since its inception, WCCDC has served over 1,000 households through HPP, successfully preventing them from entering the shelter system. The organization's commitment is underscored by its recent sixth consecutive annual DHS contract renewal for HPP services. In addition to its housing initiatives, WCCDC was awarded a Human Care Agreement for Permanent Supportive Housing by DHS in 2016, and achieved Medicaid provider status for Housing Supportive Services (HSS) in 2022. WCCDC's dedication to service excellence has been consistently recognized through positive DHS audits and commendations from partners like the Coalition for The Homeless.
