Our Story

Inspiring Change

Wheeler Creek Community Development Corporation (WCCDC) emerged from the determination and unity of the former residents of Valley Green and Skytower Apartments. Committed to reclaiming control over their lives and community, they formed WCCDC with a clear mission: to foster housing, employment, and business opportunities for Washington D.C. Metro Area residents.

For over two decades, WCCDC has been a cornerstone of support for low-income and public housing residents, providing comprehensive case management services. Recognized for its exemplary track record, WCCDC has been entrusted by the District of Columbia Housing Authority with managing the federally mandated Community and Supportive Services Program (CSSP) on six occasions. Through strategic allocation of over $15 million in grant funding, WCCDC has facilitated housing for over 2,500 families and individuals, both in rental units and homeownership opportunities.
