Homeless Prevention Program

Wheeler Creek CDC in conjunction with the Department of Human Services Homeless Prevention Program provides services to help families that are at risk of homelessness remain in their community and avoid entering shelter.  The Virginia Williams Family Resource Center (VWFRC) must refer families to the program.

Services Include:

Mediation (Family, Landlord-Tenant)
Financial Assistance (Rental and Utility Assistance)
Budgeting and Financial Management 
Comprehensive Case Management

 In 2015/2016 Wheeler Creek CDC has assisted over 500 families in the District of Columbia.
